About

100+ Women Who Care is a group of women who care deeply about the Knox County, Ohio, community. The hope of this giving circle is to provide financial assistance to non-profit organizations in the county, and to learn about existing and emerging resources in the community.

We come from all walks of life and varying financial backgrounds.  As individuals it is challenging to make a meaningful impact in our community, but as a group we have the ability to contribute to the growth of our community in ways that we never thought possible!

Making a Direct Impact

Our mission is to reach out and help our community with more than 100 women each pledging to contribute $100 on a quarterly basis  to local non-profits. All non profit organizations up for consideration must be in the Knox County area and a non profit 501(c)3. The goal is to keep it local and have an impact that WE can SEE in our communities!

This group is perfect for you if:

  • You don't have time in your busy life to volunteer but have been wanting to help those in need in our community

  • You want 100% of your donations to go directly to a non-profit and are interested in learning about new non profits

  • You want to be part of a powerful group of women who make an immediate, direct and positive impact on those in need

  • You want the opportunity to present your local non-profit of choice to a large group of caring women

Nominate Your Non-Profit of Choice

Any 100+ WWC Knox County giver has the opportunity to nominate a non-profit, drop her name into the bowl at each meeting with the hopes of being one of three drawn to present her non profit.  Each of the three giving circle members has five minutes to convince us that her non-profit is the one to receive our donation. We listen, we vote, we each write a personal check for $100 (or donate online) to the charity receiving the most votes. The hidden advantage to our giving circle is the non-profit receives this donation without spending a minute of their time or a nickel of their money fundraising.

Please consider joining us.  Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings; there is no reason to call ahead, just come on by!  If you would like to become a giving member please fill out a Commitment Form or pick one up at the meeting.

Our Impact

In just four one-hour meetings a year, we can make an impact of more than $40,000 in Knox County. This extends to a host of individuals and families benefitting from the services of the non-profit organizations receiving the funds.
